Our client generates renewable electricity from landfill gas at a number of sites across the UK.
You will be responsible for the maintenance of Electrical equipment, Controls and Instrumentation to an appropriate standard, offering guidance and support to site staff. You will assist sites in order to achieve maximum electrical output, whilst maintaining the highest levels of safety.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the Health, Safety and Quality procedures are followed and implemented at all times.
- Ensure that all sites are correctly certified in respect of all electrical installations.
- Ensure that all High Voltage equipment is in line with the maintenance schedules.
- Liaise with equipment manufacturers for new equipment orders and specification.
- Provide technical support for electrical and C&I fault diagnostics.
- Assist in the plan for required upgrade of engine control systems as OEM reduces support/supply.
- Update where appropriate and produce guidance notes.
- Complete electrical and control failure investigations and produce incident RCA’s.
- Provide electrical and advise on C&I fault diagnostics training.
Requirements
- The successful candidate will have a minimum of an ONC/HNC in Electrical Engineering and a City & Guilds 17th Edition Electrical Technician qualification.
- Ideally qualified in HV switching, plus excellent LV and HV fault finding skills.
- Be highly competent with electrical controls and instrumentation of medium speed power generation modules.
- This position requires a high degree of flexibility, self-motivation, initiative, the ability to work alone. .
