Portfolio Manager – Renewable Energy

An entrepreneurial Investment Manager based in London is looking for a Portfolio Manager to join their operations team.

This team will support Senior Partners in delivering a high functioning stakeholder-driven service and supporting the ambitious growth plans of the Energy & Infrastructure investment arm.

The team will take a hands-on approach to actively managing a diverse portfolio including solar, storage, wind, bioenergy and reserve power assets.

The team will deliver class-leading oversight of the infrastructure asset portfolio to protect and enhance returns to investors while delivering seamless reporting to all stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring accurate and timely management reporting across the portfolio
  • Ensuring valuations are accurate, consistent, robust and delivered in a timely manner through the management of the valuation models and processes.
  • Assisting in designing and implementing asset management IT systems
  • Maintaining data management systems
  • Identifying, managing and resolving non-technical incidents
  • Managing compliance with leases
  • Ensuring contractor compliance and monitoring their performance
  • Receiving and reviewing monthly O&M reports
  • Managing compliance with insurance policies
  • Managing compliance with other contracts and, where needed, action contractual rights (e.g. warranty claims)
  • Managing and having oversight of technical issues across the portfolio, ensuring that output is maximised while maintaining commercial discipline
  • Providing support to the Investment Team on asset acquisitions

Requirements

  • An engineering, science or financial university qualification
  • Experience in an Energy company, Advisory or Investment group looking after a group or portfolio of assets or sites.
  • High level of numeracy and some data analytics
  • An overview of energy policy and regulation in the UK
  • A motivated individual looking to develop their commercial and financial skills
  • Flexibility and “can do” attitude
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Willingness to learn and support others
  • Looking for an engaging role as part of an asset management career
