This well known Energy company requires a Project Manager to join their renewable energy focused team.
They develop subsidy free commercial scale Wind and Solar projects, Reserve power plants, primarily based upon gas engines, District Heating Network, CHP and Battery storage as well as EV infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Preparation and presentation of detailed feasibility assessments
- Technical and environmental evaluation of new energy development opportunities, including the commercial viability and financial modelling of the projects
- Promotion of the projects through scoping, EIA, planning application and where necessary planning appeal.
- Management of stakeholder relationships including public consultation
- Negotiation and finalisation of property agreements, Power Purchase Agreements.
- Development of proposal documents, presentations and proposals
- Management of internal and external resources to meet milestones and delivery of projects.
- Key involvement in the procurement and construction phases of developments to deliver operational assets.
Requirements
- Knowledge of project delivery in the Wind energy sector.
- Project Management skills and experience, with the ability to manage complex projects including the risks and uncertainty with external stakeholders.
- Commercial management skills – including development and control of budgets, financial appraisals, project evaluation, contract negotiation and management and overall project management.
- Knowledge of the technical, environmental and planning constraints surrounding the development of renewable energy, decentralised and flexible generation projects.
- Organised, analytical and detail driven.
- Strong written and presentation skills internally
- Proven experience in assessing the feasibility of projects and executing the planning and consenting process of commercial scale energy projects.
- Project Management of complex projects in the energy field to cost and programme.
- Experience of consultation with both internal and external stakeholders and in developing strong working relationships.
- Preferred Qualifications Degree qualified as a minimum in an appropriate technical field/discipline.
- Project Management accreditation desirable.
