Senior Engineering and Maintenance Manager – Waste Management
SearchTech is currently working with one of Europe’s leading Waste Management and Fuel Production companies
This position is very much a progressive opportunity developing from management to Head of Level. Our client is looking for a Senior Maintenance professional to help across their Municipal Waste Contract’s and their facilities.
Working this position, you will be required to:
- Lead professional Reactive and Preventative Engineering processes, working on two of the businesses major Waste Processing facilities. Managing a budget of over £5 million for their annual maintenance.
- Leading a team of engineers and technicians to ensure the correct H&S procedures, engineering strategy and tool maintenance are kept in order.
- Main responsibility for this position is to provide work availability and breakdown process to your staff and to reduce timescales of maintenance procedures.
- Report directly to the Senior Directorship team
- Keep an eye on all maintenance activities and implement different processes to make the system smoother.
- Design and develop new maintenance schemes and strategy to improve the national engineering procedures.
- Manage all HR and Staffing requirements for the Engineers and Technicians.
- Manage any under-performing assets and develop a troubleshoot program to improve the set up.
Experience, Qualifications and Education (preferred):
- Degree/NVQ3 Engineering
- O&M management of Waste Processing facilities e.g. MRF, RDF, SRF, MBT, IVC, Anaerobic Digestion, Recycling Plant or any materials focused waste facility.
- Cost control
- HR management and staffing (recruitment within team)
- Waste management knowledge
- IOSH
- Commissioning experience
- Personnel management
- Engineering or Maintenance background
