London | UK & Europe Projects | Career Progression

Our client is a leading renewable energy developer and asset management business headquartered in London, with a growing footprint across the UK and Europe.

With over 300MW of solar and battery storage projects scheduled for construction in the next two years, the company is scaling rapidly—and now seeks a Solar Construction Project Planner to join its expanding delivery team.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the end-to-end delivery of major low-carbon infrastructure projects, from early design through to commissioning.

The Role

You will oversee the full lifecycle of solar developments, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing projects through design, construction, commissioning, and handover
  • Developing budgets, schedules, procurement strategies, and delivery plans
  • Coordinating resources including contractors, equipment, and materials
  • Acting as the primary interface between engineers, suppliers, DNOs, and internal teams
  • Ensuring SHEQ compliance through site inspections, audits, and risk management
  • Producing accurate reports and progress updates for senior stakeholders

About You

You’ll bring strong organisational skills and a passion for renewable energy, with experience—or a keen interest—in construction project planning.

We’re keen to hear from candidates with:

  • Experience in solar, BESS, construction, or infrastructure projects
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Technical knowledge of solar PV systems and construction processes
  • Strong commercial and contractual awareness
  • Proficiency with project scheduling or project management software
  • A degree in engineering or construction management (desirable, not essential)
  • HNC/HND/T-Level or similar technical qualifications welcomed

Why Apply?

  • Join a fast-growing renewable energy developer
  • Work on major UK and European clean-energy projects
  • Clear progression into Senior Planner or Project Management roles
  • Be part of the energy transition shaping a net-zero future
