A leading renewable energy company specialising in low-carbon energy generation is seeking a land and property manager for their busy development team.

They specialize in pioneering development, financing, structuring, and delivery models that empower them to provide clean, low-carbon energy solutions tailored to the needs of our partners, whether they are investment funds, multinational corporations, or large-scale agricultural enterprises.

Responsibilities

  • Act as point of contact with landowners
  • Lead the negotiation of Heads of Terms
  • Lead the commercial negotiation of Option to Lease agreements, easements, wayleaves and crossing agreements
  • Manage external solicitors’ firms who are acting on documents in negotiation
  • Manage ongoing commitments in executed agreements

Qualifications and Skills

 

  • Land / Legal / Planning Qualification (degree level as a minimum).
  • Minimum of 3-5-years experience within the renewable energy industry on Project Management, particularly working on solar PV, battery storage and onshore wind projects
  • Desirable ; RICS qualification RTPI
  • Experience of undertaking land assembly and responsibility for land budgets
  • Experience of managing agents and legal support to prepare and conclude land agreements
  • An understanding of planning and consenting processes.
  • Experience of contract preparation and managing and negotiating tender processes (including consultancy services).
  • Experience of managing project stakeholders including regulators, statutory consultees and local communities.
  • Legal Knowledge: Understands the laws and regulations involved in land acquisition for renewable energy.
  • Project Management: Manages multiple projects at once, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Independent Worker: Can work autonomously and make decisions without needing constant supervision.
  • People Skills: Excellent at building relationships with landowners, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
  • Negotiation: Skilled at negotiating terms that are beneficial for all parties involved.
  • Problem-Solving: Finds and implements creative solutions to challenges in land acquisition.
