This client is recognised as one of the leaders in the renewable energy market as a significant contributor to the production of biomass energy for the home market.
This project manager/ engineer you will assist with the portfolio of plants long term project development plans, comprising a combination of organic growth, fuel and asset diversification, asset life extension activities and acquisition of similar assets. You will also deliver project and engineering support to all sites across the portfolio, as required.
Responsibilities
- Deliver plant life extensions works.
- Assist with the planning phase on any new opportunities.
- Provide technical expertise and support on engineering issues.
- Assist with developing project business plans.
- Manage relevant stakeholders and counterparties.
- Assist with the financial control of project and planning budgets.
- Deliver projects and development activities.
- Ensure strong SHE performance through compliance with policies, legislation and industry best practice.
- Support the execution of the SHE management system and ensure that the Safe System of Work is fully utilised.
- Delivery of relevant Due Diligence work on both acquisitions and new build opportunities.
Requirements
- The successful candidate will have an excellent awareness of project engineering, encompassing construction and commissioning challenges.
- You will have extensive knowledge of combustion, boilers, fuel feed and ash handling.
- Ideally you will hold a current NEBOSH certificate, have strong IT skills including the use of Word, Excel Project and PowerPoint.
- At least 5 years power generation/utility experience.
- You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills as well as providing tangible evidence of previous project management experience.
