Site Manager – Energy Centre – Cambridge
Salary: Up to £45,000 + benefits

Company
Our client is a leading renewable energy developer and asset management business head quartered in London and focused on the UK market. They are looking to fill an exciting opportunity for a Site Manager to join on a full-time, permanent basis in Cambridge. The company built and now manage the energy centre of a 22ha (209,000m2) Greenhouse, consisting of 3 natural gas CHPs, 4 water source heat pumps with a combined heat output of 33MW, and 2 natural gas boilers as backup. The energy centre provides heat, electricity and CO2.
Responsibilities
- Carry out daily checks of the facilities and the equipment
- Manage H&S on site
- Review risk assessments
- Liaise with contractors on site
- Monitor and optimize efficiency of plant operation
- Carry out minor maintenance works
- Work closely with the office-based management team
- Oversee preventative and corrective maintenance activities on site
- Coordination of existing O&M contracts
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A relevant degree, certification, or license
- A driver’s license
- SMSTS / IOSH management safely
Desirable Qualifications
- Electrical Qualifications
- First aid course
- Fire marshal course
Required Knowledge and Experience
- Good technical understanding
- Experience with technical / electrical / mechanical plant equipment
- Preventative and corrective maintenance activities
- Ability to investigate and resolve faults
- Proficiency in MS office (Outlook, Excel)
- Experience with SCADA and BMS systems
- Basic data analysis skills
