This client is a leading renewable energy developer and asset management business head quartered in London and focused on the UK market.

Their development track record includes solar, wind and gas peaking with a combined capacity of circa 500MW.

The focus of the role will be working as part of the existing team to develop the current pipeline of solar and battery projects, and identify new opportunities in the renewables sector.

Responsibilities

  • Working with senior colleagues to assist the development of renewable energy projects across multiple technologies
  • Tracking the progress of project development workstreams and creating appropriate project development plans to assist the wider team
  • Liaise with third parties throughout the development and transaction process
  • Develop and maintain long term cashflows and budgets
  • Coordinating with the finance team
  • Develop and maintain long term financial models of project investment opportunities
  • Co-ordination of deal execution under the guidance of senior colleagues
  • Lead the preparation of detailed opportunity analysis papers, and participate in their presentation to the wider team
  • Management of external advisers supporting development and deal execution, including legal and technical advisers
  • Carrying out research of selected sectors, companies and market segments to identify potential new opportunities
  • Using appropriate desktop search tools to identify potential project locations and carry out initial feasibility analysis
  • Liaising with regional utility providers to carry out feasibility studies
  • Assisting with preliminary project design

Requirements

  • Excellent record of academic achievements
  • Prior work experience in infrastructure, power, utilities or related sectors
  • Experience working as part of a team in project development or project design
  • Some electrical engineering experience and understanding would be preferable
  • Some experience of financial analysis, including financial modelling, DCF valuation and company/industry research skills would be preferable
  • Proficient use of Excel and excellent written communication skills
  • Experience using CAD would be preferable
  • High level of professionalism, maturity, superior attention to detail
  • Ability and desire to manage multiple task and projects
  • Ability to present complex ideas and information in simple persuasive form, written and orally
  • Ambitious objective setting and strong work ethic

Salary and bonus:
