This Client is a growing technology and engineering organisation in the renewable energy sector.

Their advanced sensing, software and machine learning products are deployed on wind turbines around the world. Headquartered in the UK with global offices.

 

Due to strong organic growth, they are seeking a data-savvy technical specialist to support our customers in the EU market. Working as part of a global team of wind turbine health monitoring engineers and analysts, you will manage regional projects to connect machinery to the cloud and deliver a high standard of wind turbine health monitoring service to customers.

 

The Role

 

  • Provide an excellent wind turbine condition health monitoring service to customers in the EU region
  • Monitor asset performance using monitoring platform and report on alarms and asset health
  • Support the new customer onboarding process, contributing to the effective mobilisation of services to new customers
  • Identify opportunities to provide added-value services to customers around performance such as consulting and training
  • Ensure that the health monitoring service provided to our customers is of the highest possible quality standard.
  • Work with colleagues around the world to identify and develop service improvement opportunities.

The Person

 

  • Knowledge and/or experience of vibration analysis
  • Undergraduate degree in relevant STEM subject (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mathematics, or Physics)
  • Critical thinker and problem-solver who can make sound decisions while managing the monitoring service and delivery for several customers
  • Knowledge of rotating machinery engineering applications including dynamics and data analysis helpful
  • Python or MATLAB programming experience; networking/connectivity knowledge, including large/automated data transfer, scripting (e.g., bash), and databases. Experience with SaaS and cloud-based architectures a plus
  • Knowledge of data mining, measurement and data acquisition techniques, signal processing, feature extraction, regression analysis, and anomaly detection
  • Ideal – UK IMechE qualified or working towards; experience in condition monitoring and asset health management in renewables and/or an adjacent industrial sector; PhD and/or Master’s degree; rotating machinery experience
